Five months have come and gone since I did settle here in the quaint ol’ town of NYC.  It is the common consensus  that it takes a period of time spanning somewhere in the period of two years before one can really say they know a city.  Regardless of the relative short amount of time I have spent here, I feel I have gained an abundance of knowledge to making it in this big city… Maybe less “making it,” and more just getting by.

 

A sample of my worldly wisdom is listed below:

 

  1. Never hand over cash for a rental agreement without receiving a set of keys in exchange.
  2. Craigslist is your best friend and worst enemy.
  3. If ever at a loss for things to talk about, just complain about how much the G train sucks.
