They say a lot happens in a New York minute. So when I went back to New York City last weekend, I was prepared for the usual chaos that comes with millions of people hustling to work and cars zipping about.
Though I was raised in California, I lived in New Jersey as a child and traveled to the Big Apple numerous times during those two years. Going back to New York feels like returning to the arms of an old friend. Because my family didn’t feel the need to see everything, New York minutes were more like moments: treasured, enjoyed, salient. Here are a few highlights:
