As of Monday next week, two years will have passed since Northestern Japan was devastated by the powerful earthquake and resulting tsunami that ripped through dozens of coastal towns and villages. The country, particularly Fukushima Prefecture, is still picking up the pieces, but this collection of photos, taken both shortly after the tsunami hit and again at intervals during more recent months, shows just how far people have come in putting their towns back together again.
