The solution no one wants but everyone needs.
Trinidad & Tobago is ranked number 44 in the amount of cars per 1000 people according to Wikipedia here that’s 353 cars per 1000 people more than Israel, Taiwan and Saudi Arabia.
We have an used car industry that some claim to have as much as 70,000 illegal cars on the roads in this article add to that the current government increasing the age of these cars from four to six years and the rate of cars per 1000 only rises.
This rise no doubt causes increased traffic and parking problems on an island of about 5,131 square kilometers and a solution is needed, that solution however is not desired by many but necessary in light of the problems. We have already spent more than 20 billion dollars in new highways when what we really should consider is the obvious solution.
