I was quite surprised to see differentially driven wheels in this pre-World War II engine.  I did not expect a rotary transmission in a steam train.  This seven-shot HDR perfectly captures the details of items in direct evening sun, the undercarriage (lit by reflected sunlight), and the nooks and crannies of this train truck that are only lit by backscattered light from the clouds.  The more HDR that I do, the more I like it.  There are some photographers I follow that shoot HDR nearly all of the time (Trey Ratcliff, Dmitri, et. al.).  I don’t want to do solely HDR, but I can see that it is a boon for anything outside of the golden hour…
